Elderly Reliable

Fun fact: 8000 gallons of water and steam, over the course of 2-3 mins, are forced through an opening no larger than a fist.

The Dweller of the Cave – Yelllowstone

A low grumbling can be heard from deep inside the cave, it was almost as if a dragon was living in there and you could hear / see the steam he was snorting out.

Solar Squealz

I finally got my solar panel set up, and got my laptop and phone operating 100% off solar energy. It’s really neat going off grid. (Though technically I’m still reliant on refilling propane every 2-3 weeks). The solar panel keeps the 12 volt RV battery charged which runs all the lights, water pump, and fans, while the propane is used for cooking and keeps the fridge running (I know its weird, look up how RV gas fridges work and it will blow your mind). The plan is to boon-dock out here for a week.

Update

After doing some research, I found a neat place to boon-dock at Henry’s Lake, Idaho. It’s completely free and they even have latrines. The weather is so pleasant that you don’t need A/C. This was by far my favorite place to stay at so far. Plus, its only a 40 minute drive to Yellowstone!
I went into town and ended up stumbling upon a free fly fishing lesson by the infamous Bob Jacklin! (Don’t worry, I didn’t know who he was either). There were a lot of aspects to fly fishing that I didn’t know of and I certainly have a greater respect for the sport. Later that day I also painted my first Bob-Ross style mountain range.
